Mendip YMCA Football Match

Residents and Staff of Mendip YMCA Spencer House and Frome Foyer met together for an exciting match between the two supported Housing projects and had a great evening of fun and sport.

The event was held at Shepton Mallet Leisure Centre on the 2nd April 2009.  The event was organised by James Blundell, a Residents Support Worker at Frome Foyer, with help from other staff from both projects.

After a half time break with hot cross buns and oranges enjoyed by all, an exciting second half took place and the final score was 9/2 to Frome Foyer.  Great skill and enthusiasm was displayed by both sides and all those who took part agreed that a great time had been had by all. 

There are hopes that another similar event can take place in the future with rounders and cricket having already been suggested by residents.
