Family Mediation

Mendip YMCA can work with young people (aged 16 – 25) and their parents / guardians / householder / when there is a risk of homelessness.

Our Mediator will work with both parties to provide information, advice and guidance with a view to avoiding homelessness.

The Mediator can:

· help young people and their families make informed decisions
· investigate whether another agency would help avoid homelessness
· encourage the action that will be right for both parties, including effecting a planned ‘move on’, avoiding homelessness

This service is free of charge to eligible clients, you can be referred through the following agencies:

Council Information Points, Mendip District Council, Connexions, CAB Offices, Social Services or Mendip YMCA Routes.
