Welcome

Welcome to the Baltonsborough Parish Council Website. We hope this site will be a source of interest and information for residents of the village and beyond.
The village of Baltonsborough [pop. around 1000] lies some 4 miles S.E of Glastonbury, is bounded on the S.W. by the River Brue and has splendid views towards the Tor and the Mendip Hills.
At its centre, the village is served by the post office shop, public house and village hall.
Surrounding the village are farms mostly concentrating on dairy farming.
Baltonsborough Parish Council meets regularly on the first Thursday of each month. Everyone is welcome and there is an opportunity at the start of the meeting for parishioners to discuss any matter or concern that comes within the remit of the council.
Baltonsborough Community Led Plan.
The Parish Council welcomes the efforts of the Community Led Plan Working Group.
It believes that recommendations built fairly on a robust, representative survey of village attitudes to Baltonsborough and its development can help secure the right future for the Parish.
The findings and recommendations, which have been presented to the village and can be downloaded by clicking the link to the right of the page, will be considered for acceptance by the Parish Council at its meeting on 3rd May 2012.
