BALTONSBOROUGH COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION

Baltonsborough has a vibrant village community with many well-established and popular activities. The BCA was formed in 2007 by a group of residents who wished to build on this by creating a forum where further events, projects and activities could be suggested, discussed and acted upon.
These could be of a musical, sporting, artistic or dramatic nature or could look into local history and heritage – in short anything in which Baltonsborough people were interested.
One of the results of the BCA was the formation of the Brue Boys, a choir for local men who want to sing. For all the details please visit The Brue Boys website.

Another significant achievement was the organisation and running of the first Baltonsborough Festival, held in the summer of 2008. The Festival included a pageant, an art exhibition, concerts, 'extreme' sports, less 'extreme' sports (like horseshoe-throwing), a Sunday ramble, a barn dance, a hog roast, and a unique version of "Gardeners' Question Thyme".
The following photos show some of the events which took place:

A mini-version of the festival will be held this year (2009) from the 5th to the 7th June, and full details will be published nearer the time.
